Upgrading – Essential Skills Continuous Learning
Foundations, Intermediate, Advanced
Have you always wanted to improve your current English and/or Math Skills?
Are you planning to take high school courses but need a good academic foundation?
Does your career goal or present job require that you have improved skills in Reading, Writing, and/or Math?
Consider enrolling in Essential Skills Continuous Learning Courses!
Why are the courses called Essential Skills Courses?
Essential skills are the skills associated with literacy (i.e. reading, writing, document use and numeracy-math). They also include thinking skills, oral communication, computer use/digital skills, working with others and the skills associated with continuous learning.
Learn more about Essential Skills and what employers want by going to the following Canadian government website:
Why do we call our courses “Continuous Learning” courses?
Not everyone learns at the same speed or has the same amount of commitment or time available to dedicate to their studies. Therefore, “continuous learning” refers to the different path and length of time needed by each student to reach their goal. They may be right type of plan for you!
Usually, due to the quantity of content in the course curriculum, it will take a student more than one semester to complete a course and be proficient in what they learn. Some students may have gaps in their learning and others may need to work through all the content step by step.
Homework will be assigned. Our facilitators and tutors will guide and coach you to reach your goal. Look at our facilitators and tutors as personal coaches and you are at an academic gym!
